CeeDee Lamb is one of a host of players applying pressure to the Cowboys' front office to get a deal done for George Pickens.

This offseason looms as a pivotal one for the Dallas Cowboys and the front office.

With George Pickens' contract the talk of the NFL town in San Francisco, despite it being Super Bowl week, we know this coverage will last as long as Pickens' future remains up in the air.

We have heard Dak Prescott state that he will step in if needed, in trying to get Pickens to stay in Dallas.

We've also heard CeeDee Lamb repeatedly state his desire for George to return in 2026.

Lamb has already stated that Pickens earning more than him won't be an issue, stating he would be the first to congratulate him if that were to eventuate.

But now No. 88 is perhaps knowingly, or unknowingly, applying public pressure to Jerry and Stephen Jones when it comes to thrashing out a deal with Pickens.

In speaking with Clarence Hill Jr. of DLLS Cowboys, CeeDee stated that Pickens will be a Cowboy in 2026.

"That's my brother, man," Lamb said. "We hit it off as soon as we met, and I knew we would, and I knew we were going to connect on the field, so that was just an extra bonus.

"But I know we're going to do it again, I know we're going to run it back, and we're going to have an even better time next year and the years to come."

There we have it.

Another Cowboys player is going public with their desire to have Pickens in 2026.

Lamb also spent the week at the Super Bowl saying things about how he'd take a "restructure'' (in the form of a paycut, some presume) to make all of this happen.

That's generous.

And needless.

Dallas can create plenty of cap room do to the Pickens deal, with a "flip of a switch'' in Lamb's contract (and Dak Prescott's, and others') ... and no sacrifice or negotiation is needed.

Our own Mike Fisher has stated that if Jerry Jones and Dallas do, in fact, deal Pickens away, the football staff will have an "aneurysm," so it appears that everyone is aligned in one simple thought -- Pickens has to be back in Dallas.

Money will be the central point here, as Pickens could in theory secure a contract that exceeds Lamb's, putting him north of $34 million APY.

CeeDee, by the way, has said that's fine with him.

That would, to some critics, make the Cowboys a little top-heavy in terms of money on the offensive side of the ball, but we saw last season just how good it can be when things are rolling.

With so much public pressure applied, will this sway the Cowboys' front office into making a deal for George? Not likely.

But Dallas players being rather outspoken in their desire to keep Pickens around is certainly noteworthy, and don't you worry, the Jones' hear it.
