Durant comes to The Star, and he knows exactly what he's going to give Christian Parker's defense.

The Dallas Cowboys added to their cornerback room in free agency, signing Los Angeles Rams ball hawk Cobie Durant.

With Christian Parker's defense now having a host of new faces in Jalen Thompson, Rashan Gary, P.J. Locke, and now Durant, his vision is starting to take shape.

Not many likely knew Durant prior to his move to Dallas, but the Cowboys are getting a versatile playmaker in the secondary, which also has DaRon Bland, who is also known to get a takeaway or two during his time in the league.

For Durant, in speaking with Dallascowboys.com's Nicole Hutchinson, he's ready to bring what he does best to Dallas.

"Just create takeaways and get the ball back to Dak," Durant said. "Let Dak do what he do. I'm excited for it, got great guys in that secondary."

While Durant isn't the most physically imposing corner in football, at 5-11 and 182 pounds, some might think his addition isn't what the Cowboys' secondary needs.

But if you thought that Durant's size was going to impact him in a way that would keep him from being a playmaker, you're wrong.

In three playoff games last season for the Rams, Durant hauled in three interceptions.

And he wants Cowboys Nation to know what sort of player they're getting.

"They getting a guy that the media says that's too small, but it ain't all about the size and the dog, it's the size and the heart of the dog," he added. "Coming to make plays and add on to this defense."

It is clear to see that Cobie isn't lacking confidence, and for a Cowboys defense that desperately needs a player who can help bring Parker's vision to life, that's a start.

With DaRon Bland, Shavon Revel Jr., Josh Butler, and Caelen Carson, among others, Durant is going to find his place soon enough.

"I'm excited," he said on joining the cornerback room. "Great group of guys, great instincts, great knowledge for the game. We just going to feed off each other and get the ball back to Dak. That's the main thing."

So it appears that Durant is ready to roll in Dallas.

And what is also clear is that he and the defense have one goal in mind for 2026.

Get the ball back to No. 4.

And that's a goal Cowboys Nation will love.
