The Cowboys made several moves this offseason, including a draft trade, but is that enough?

One area of need that many thought the Dallas Cowboys would address in the NFL Draft was linebacker.

Having missed out on several targets in free agency, the thought was Dallas would address it in the draft, and the franchise did, to an extent.

They made a trade with the San Francisco 49ers to acquire starter Dee Winters, in a move that many scouting minds like.

Plus, the newly drafted Jaishawn Barham has experience in playing at inside linebacker during his college career. So there are a couple more players to add to a linebacker room that desperately needed it.

Many still think Dallas needs a "green dot" to quarterback the defense, and two experts are weighing in on the subject.

CowboysRoundtable.com's Mike Fisher notes that Dallas did call the Miami Dolphins during the draft in pursuit of a trade for All-Pro Jordyn Brooks ... and that they should "circle back.''

"The Dolphins just drafted two new linebackers, including Texas Tech's Jacob Rodriguez, so it does look like they're stripping down and turning the page there,'' Fish said. "Call 'em again, add Brooks here, pay him - and now Jerry Jones can claim he's capped his offseason with a 'bust the budget' move.

ESPN's Todd Archer, the biggest question is whether the Cowboys have done enough to address the linebacker position.

"The Cowboys gave a fifth-round pick to San Francisco for Dee Winters, who has started his past 27 games and had 101 tackles last season," Archer wrote. "Third-round pick Jaishawn Barham will begin his career at inside linebacker. The Cowboys already had DeMarvion Overshown, Shemar James and Justin Barron on the roster as off-ball linebackers.

"Winters can walk in as a starter, but executive vice president Stephen Jones said the Cowboys will continue to look for help either through free agency or the trade market. But the move for Winters reduced the Cowboys' need to add to the position immediately."

We have seen the Cowboys linked to veterans such as Bobby Wagner and Bobby Okereke, and, in truth, they would be a nice addition to the defense.

Personally, give me Brooks.

Coming off an All-Pro year for the Miami Dolphins, Dallas should test the rebuilding AFC East teams' resolve by going after Brooks.

One could say that if Brooks is signed, that would complete the room. There's your stud. There's your green dot leader.

But the Cowboys, at least right now, appear content with the work they've done. Yes, player acquisition isn't over; George Pickens was a late-offseason addition, so there is still time.

However, the Cowboys have already made a handful of new signings, so the franchise may wait until later in the offseason to make a move in order to see how the group pans out.

Still, I can't help but think the Cowboys need another piece for Christian Parker.
