Cowboys at Cardinals: Who's In, Who's Out In Preseason Game No. 2?

The Dallas Cowboys are in action against the Arizona Cardinals in their second preseason game with plenty of storylines to watch.

The backup quarterback battle between Joe Milton and Sam Howell. The running back room with Jaydon Blue, Phil Mafah, Malik Davis, and Israel Abanikanda, plus the depth of the offensive line and how that fares.

Not to mention receivers Camden Brown and Jonathan Mingo battling it out for the WR5 role.

Defensively, Jaishawn Barham (who is wearing the green dot), Julius Wood, Justin Barron, Devin Moore, Marist Liufau, LT Overton, Kelvin Gilliam, and Malachi Lawrence are all whom we will be keeping a close eye on.

But all of this is predicted on the players mentioned above, playing.

So, who will we see in Arizona and who will be on the sidelines?

Caleb Downs, PJ Locke, Von Miller, and TJ Bass are the ones who won't play, per Kristi Scales, who was on 105.3 The Fan. So we can add them to the long list of starters who didn't play last week.

Scales also stated that Milton will be the starter, and he is expected to play the first half, while Sam Howell will get the second half.

Both UDFA TEs Michael Trigg and DJ Rogers aren't playing, so Zack Kuntz and Luke Schoonmaker will be getting reps.

Elsewhere, Blue will be playing, likely on a limited basis, as he had a shoulder injury this week. Malik, who Scales says is in the lead for RB2, will also play against Arizona. 

So, we know who will be suiting up against the Cardinals, and who won't be, so there will be plenty to watch for.

We know that there are several positional battles that could be decided in this game, and with the backup offensive line set to get a lot of burn against Arizona, the depth is going to be a fascinating watch.

Plus, the tight end situation is fascinating, with Schoon likely to get limited reps, so Kuntz will see a lot of snaps, I'd imagine.

For Milton, he will have the chance to put pressure on Howell with a good first-half performance, as he gets switched from last week, when he played the second half while Howell played the first, against the Seattle Seahawks.
