No. 88 has updated Cowboys fans after his scary looking concussion sustained vs. the Lions.

The Dallas Cowboys' 44-30 loss to the Detroit Lions last Thursday was bad for a number of reasons, and one of them was that Dak Prescott lost his best weapon during the game.

In the third quarter, CeeDee Lamb was on the end of a Prescott target into the end zone, with No. 88 reaching behind his head for a spectacular catch, but in doing so, left himself no way to protect himself when landing.

As such, Lamb's head hit the ground, and he suffered a concussion. And just minutes later, after being taken to the locker room, CeeDee was ruled out.

Lamb was on his way to being a “winner’’ with six catches for 121 yards early before the concussion rendered him a "loser.’’

Now in concussion protocol, the Cowboys are hoping that Lamb progresses to the point where he can suit up against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15 on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium.

And Lamb has taken to Instagram to give a positive update on his status.

“Blessed in an understatement. Love yall,” Lamb wrote.

So while Lamb's update feels like a positive one, meaning no further issues, he is now in the protocol with the Dallas medical staff evaluating the All-Pro receiver over the next week.

With Lamb (57 catches, 895 yards and three TDs) potentially being on the sidelines, it will again put a spotlight on the rest of Dak's weapons in George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, Ryan Flournoy, and KaVonte Turpin.

The group did their best at Ford Field ... except for Pickens’ “disinterested effort’’ ... with George coming under fire for his performance that looked a little lackluster, with the receiver seeing his effort questioned on several routes.

That will also be a watch for Cowboys Nation over the next couple of weeks to see if that was just a bad game from George or a sign of things to come.

Much has been made of Pickens' effort in Detroit and how it might affect his ability to get a huge contract extension in the offseason.

But all eyes will be on Lamb this week at The Star, with the All-Pro under close watch to see if he'll be a go against the Vikings.
