Lamb has been going up against Parker's unit this offseason, and it's fair to say that it's been a learning experience.
The Dallas Cowboys are slowly ramping up their offseason as OTAs continue at The Star, and it is our first chance to see how Christian Parker's defense will look.
Yes, we get it, we aren't really going to see much at all at this time of year, but we can get a general idea of what Parker wants.
Caleb Downs looms as the centerpiece to it, so too Rashan Gary, Quinnen Williams, and Kenny Clark.
This time of the offseason is for learning as players take what they've done in the classroom and look to translate it onto the field. So, there will be a learning curve over the next couple of weeks as players understand what Parker wants from them and how he wants it.
That can take time.
But for CeeDee Lamb, who has to go against Parker's defense daily, he was asked what it is like going against a disciple of Vic Fangio.
"It's annoying," Lamb said. "It's been annoying to prepare against, but obviously seeing it in practice every day, it's kind of unique just seeing different guys communicate and being able to understand and take what they learn from the meeting room and being able to easily translate it on the field.
"I mean, it's good to go against. It's very tricky, but as for our offense, we just got to play fast and get to our spots."
So, the offense clearly sees the struggles and the pressure that Parker's system puts on them, and with Christian's scheme more tailored to mess with a quarterback's eyes post-snap, everyone is going to have to be on their assignments to get anything on this unit.
Of course, it is only OTAs, so Parker's full bag of tricks won't be known until we are at MetLife Stadium in Week 1, but for now, things appear to be heading in the right direction.
We often hear that iron sharpens iron, and last season, the offense was so good and the defense was so bad that Dallas didn't get that.
But will it now? Will we see Parker's defense take to the NFL's top offenses in a manner that Cowboys Nation hopes? Fingers crossed.
Until then, however, we only have one word to describe what it's like going against Parker's defense -- annoying.
