The Cowboys haven't had playoff football for the past two seasons, but for Quinnen, it's been far longer.
The Dallas Cowboys will be trying to punch their ticket to the playoffs in 2026, having missed the previous two seasons.
For a franchise like the Cowboys, that is unacceptable, and given the hope and optimism around the organization this offseason, 2026 could see Dallas return to the postseason.
Of course, there is a lot of water to go under the bridge before any real playoff talk should happen, but that is clearly one of the first items to check off the list for head coach Brian Schottenheimer this year.
But to do that, Dallas likely has to win the division, something it also hasn't done for too long, so there is a lot of motivation for the Cowboys to get back to their winning ways in 2026.
And for Dak Prescott, the Cowboys making the playoffs in 2026 is the minimum requirement.
"You miss it two years, yeah, it sucks definitely, but we're pushing, and that's our goal," Prescott said. "That's a minimum. When you have a team like this, and they've done everything they have in the offseason, we've got to push and get better on offense, but when we know we're already improving on defense, yeah, that's the minimum."
For someone like Dak, or even most of the Cowboys roster, missing the playoffs for two years is considered unacceptable given how often the franchise has made it to the tournament.
But then there are others, like defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, who, in his seven years in the league, hasn't even been to the playoffs once.
And for Dak, he detailed a little promise to Quinnen.
"To hear Q say he's never been to the playoffs, right, like that's what you want to do it for," Prescott added. "I told him I said I'll get you to the playoffs, I'm going to need you to go help us win it."
And that is part of the driving force behind the Cowboys' search for playoff football.
Dak is 2-5 in the postseason and hasn't had the chance to better that record over the last two seasons, but will he in 2026?
With the desire to get Quinnen's first taste of playoff football fueling the push, you wouldn't bet against it.
