Against Washington, it was Lamb who was cooking, and Pickens didn't get a lot of attention, so how does he deal with that mentally?
When you have two No. 1 receivers like the Dallas Cowboys do in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, one of the most interesting things to watch is how each reacts when one goes off in a game.
That happened against the Washington Commanders in Dallas' 37-20 win at AT&T Stadium, with Lamb going for 153 yards and 2 TDs from eight catches.
While Pickens produced a modest 40 yards from six receptions.
Not exactly even, and this is where some think a little friction can begin because both see themselves as No. 1s (which they are), and that means they should be getting ample targets in a game.
Against Washington, it was Pickens who the defense wanted to stop, and in doing so, left Lamb singled, and, well, No. 88 ate all day. The Commanders couldn't stop him.
But when it comes to Pickens, yes, he had some key catches, but he didn't have any highlights.
Does that bother him?
"I think we dropped 37 [points], long as we scored and long as we're winning, me personally, if I'm blocking or if I'm setting a crack block and that engineered to 37 points, I'm happy," Pickens said.
With Pickens getting a lot of attention against Washington, it allowed CeeDee Lamb to torch the secondary as he was singled regularly.
So, one week it might be Lamb, the other Pickens, and once CeeDee gets his lick of the ice cream, defenses will eventually shift their attention away from Pickens and focus on Lamb.
And that leaves Pickens with his chance at getting rolling.
"And I feel like that's a plus with us being on the same team together, honestly," Pickens added.
So, it doesn't really bother George, who is making the plays as long as Dallas is winning, and against the Baltimore Ravens in Rio, it might be Lamb who is doubled, and that allows Pickens to get to work.
It is a true pick-your-poison, and it doesn't matter who you try to stop, one of them will get you.
Washington made its choice last week, and Lamb tore them apart.
What will Baltimore do? Either way, if it is George who gets taken out of the game, he isn't fussed, as long as the Cowboys walk out with a win.
