The Cowboys suffered a gut-wrenching loss in Rio, but Barham isn't about to use that loss as fuel.

The Dallas Cowboys are slowly moving on from their heart-breaking loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Rio, as the Houston Texans now come into view.

With the Cowboys dealing with a lot of injuries to further add salt to the wounds of the loss, it can be a little hard to find the positives right now.

When a team suffers a loss as devastating as Dallas did, the idea is that the team will use that disappointment as fuel to then push them to greater heights for the rest of the season.

Naturally, the Cowboys should be thinking that way, right? Use it as motivation to make sure a loss like that doesn't happen again?

Well, for rookie linebacker Jaishawn Barham, he doesn't think the team should be feeling like that.

"I mean, I feel like it shouldn't have to be like that, even though it is, we've got to get better," Barham said. "We've got to win. It's got to make everybody mad. Everybody looks at themselves in the mirror and, ultimately, we don't want to be in this situation. We want to win."

There's plenty of "mad" to go around after the final 23 seconds in Rio that saw the Cowboys do everything wrong, literally.

But now the challenge is to move on from that, however hard that might be, and put all the focus and attention into preparation for the Houston Texans.

At 0-3, the Texans' season is teetering already, and if the Cowboys aren't careful, and let last week seep into Week 4, they'll get stomped at NRG Stadium.

Barham isn't a fan of using a loss as motivation, but the Cowboys have to pick themselves up off the canvas somehow; maybe reliving that last horrifying sequence is the way to do it.

Either way, Barham isn't interested in sympathy or motivation; he's interested in one thing and one thing only -- winning football games.
