Dallas faces Philadelphia with a revamped lineup, elevating rookie Malachi Lawrence and DeMarvion Overshown while challenging struggling starter Jake Ferguson to spark a desperate defensive turnaround.

The Dallas Cowboys, right now, are in a world of hurt as head coach Brian Schottenheimer tries to get this team out of the 2-4 hole it has dug for itself.

One way to get this team out of it is through personnel changes, some of which we saw against the Green Bay Packers.

Donovan Ezeiruaku was pushed down the depth chart, with Malachi Lawrence starting in his place, and tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford managed more snaps, but Jake Ferguson still had more.

As we turn our attention to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, the Cowboys have released their unofficial depth chart, and a couple of interesting tidbits have surfaced.

The first one we notice is with Ferguson and Spann-Ford. Yes, Jake is named the starter, but with the "or" and Spann-Ford, that is telling.

Ferguson hasn't been good this season. Yes, he's found the end zone, but the fumbles and the poor blocking have seen many come for him on social media.

Given what he is paid, the Cowboys certainly need more from Ferguson, and they aren't getting it in the run game as a blocker, and they aren't getting it from him as a pass-catcher either.

He's only had more than 23 yards in a game once this season.

Spann-Ford is a better blocker, plays special teams really well, and, as a pass catcher, doesn't fumble, as he had four receptions for 35 yards against the Packers.

So, more Spann-Ford and less Ferguson against the Eagles, with the "or" being rather telling.

Another one is Donovan Eze and Lawrence.

With Lawrence showing some promise this season, and Eze racking up pressures but never actually getting home to the quarterback, the Cowboys clearly thought putting Lawrence in as the starter was needed.

Per Pro Football Network, Lawrence has a 10 percent pressure rate, which, among rookies, has him seventh in the league.

In a similar mode to the Ferguson and Spann-Ford "or", I get the sense that Lawrence will get the start against the Eagles on Monday night.

Then we have Overshown as the starter.

Coming back from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him since Week 1, Agent 0 looks primed to return on Monday night, and it looks like he'll be paired with rookie Jaishawn Barham.

So, the linebacking core gets a little stronger.

Those are the three big-ticket items from Dallas' depth chart released, and in truth, all three are "good moves" ahead of the Eagles showdown.
