Flournoy enters his third NFL season in a much better place as he readies himself for a big year.
Dallas Cowboys receiver Ryan Flournoy is now third on the depth chart behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, and at training camp, he's acting like it.
Flo has stacked good days on top of good days in Oxnard as he looks to firmly establish himself in this Dak Prescott-led "GOTI'' (Greatest Offense There Is'') attack.
After impressing last season as a bit-part player, the Cowboys were confident in what Flournoy could do, thus allowing Jalen Tolbert to walk out the door this offseason.
But coming into camp as WR3 compared to someone fighting to make the roster has a completely different feel, and it is one Flournoy has to get used to, because the offense is now counting on him to make plays.
Last offseason, Flo was just trying to make the roster in any capacity under Schottenheimer, but now he's getting a lot more work with the first team, as he is seen as a key piece of the unit.
But how different has this offseason - and its new depth chart - been compared to last year's for Flo?
"Super-different," Flournoy said. "I'm in a different spot. I want to say last year I was wide receiver No. 6 or something like that. And now I'm coming into wide receiver No. 3. My confidence is up, I know what to expect, I know what to do, definitely just having fun. Just got out there playing comfortable for real."
For Flournoy to take his game to the level needed to be a competent third NFL receiver behind CeeDee and George, he knew he had to put in some serious work this offseason.
And after the first padded practice in Oxnard, it is fair to say whatever he did is working, with Flournoy again making a big play, snatching the ball out of DaRon Bland's hands for a touchdown, along with making a host of other plays.
But what has he worked on this offseason to help improve his game?
"Really just being consistent," he added. "I wanted to work on my route running, just knowing Dak trust with me, being at the spot, knowing where to be, when to be, not being too early, not being too late, and just that's what I've been working on and just my speed."
Many were unsure what to expect from Flournoy in an offseason where more was being put on his plate, but right now, it appears he is hitting all the right notes.
Yes, training camp has only just begun, but if Flournoy is already playing comfortably, then come the regular season, he might be ready to break out as a member of Schottenheimer's offense.
