Pickens being traded has been a hot topic over the past week, but neither Dak Prescott nor CeeDee Lamb is interested in losing No. 3.

The Dallas Cowboys trading star receiver George Pickens talk has picked up after the overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

With the Cowboys' season going south in a hurry at 3-5, coupled with the Cowboys not utilizing Pickens in the manner many expect with just two catches against Arizona, it does make some sort of sense, at least outside the building, to move on from Pickens.

But that is us talking, and we know what sort of message that would send to the rest of the NFL and the Dallas locker room if Pickens were moved on.

Dallas is punting on the 2026 season.

We know what having Pickens on the field does for the offense; even if he isn't being targeted, it gives CeeDee Lamb room to operate.

And when asked his thoughts on the Pickens trade talks, No. 88 knows the value of Pickens to his game.

"I don't know why that's a thing," Lamb said. "C'mon man. Everything that I have been able to accomplish has been because of him and what he's done the year before. Vice versa with everything that I've accomplished the year prior to that.

"He exposed them [defenses]. Just kind of taking what the defense is giving us, and I feel like that goes hand in hand with why I'm able to do what I'm doing at a great pace."

We know that defenses can't cover both Lamb and Pickens, which means one of them will eat regularly, and this season, that's been CeeDee.

Lamb already has 60 receptions, 709 yards, and 6 TDs, while Pickens has a modest 533 yards and 2 TDs from 39 receptions. So Lamb is benefiting from George taking the defense's attention.

As for Dak, he's been with this franchise for over a decade, and he knows that the noise will never stop. So, when asked about the Pickens trade rumors, No. 4 isn't interested in entertaining it either.

"People say a lot of things I don't believe, so I'm not listening to that one, either," Prescott said.

For all the talk of a Pickens trade, which, if I give my two cents, isn't happening, players inside the locker room aren't entertaining it either.

At 3-5, the season isn't dead by any means, and having Pickens on the roster still gives Dallas a fighting chance of salvaging something from the year.

Whatever that might be.
