Defensive coordinator Christian Parker eyes a reunion with veteran corner Adoree Jackson, potentially poaching the former first-rounder to bolster Dallas’s revamped secondary after a disastrous 2025 campaign.

FRISCO - We are way past the early "tiers'' of NFL free agency.

But the Dallas Cowboys - in this case clearly driven by the desires of new defensive coordinator Christian Parker - are not done exploring help.

The Cowboys continue to work to remodel their entire secondary, with the latest move coming with a Philadelphia Eagles flavor.

As first reported by colleague Jordan Schultz, Dallas is hosting cornerback Adoree Jackson here at The Star on Tuesday in a free agency visit.

Jackson spent the 2025 season with the Eagles, where he started 10 games while working in combination with young stars Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. The veteran defensive back, now 30, recorded 55 tackles, 11 pass breakups and one interception while playing an important role in a Philadelphia secondary coached by Parker, who made the move to Dallas this offseason.

He made just $1.7 million on his one-year deal in Philly, so affordability figures here, too.

The 5-11, 185-pound Jackson has pedigree; he was a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, moving to the Titans after winning the Jim Thorpe Award as college football's best cornerback and also being named a unanimous All-American.

Dallas has been almost manically active in trying to fix a secondary that in 2025 was the NFL's worst. First-round rookie Caleb Downs is the crown jewel of the effort, and another rookie, Devin Moore, was taken later in this draft. Free agent standout Jalen Thompson comes over from Arizona, and Rams cornerback Cobie Durant and Broncos DB P.J. Locke are also newcomers joining top holdovers DaRon Bland, Malik Hooker and Shavon Revel.

Jackson’s experience in multiple defensive schemes - including the "3-4 Hybrid'' that Parker brings here - is central to the attraction here ... with Dallas getting some credit for not standing pat.
