The Dallas Cowboys managed a 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium on Christmas Day to move to 7-8-1.
And for receiver and All-Pro returner KaVontae Turpin, he is developing quite the habit of making big plays in Washington.
As the Cowboys began a second-quarter drive at their own three-yard line, Dak Prescott managed to pick up a quick first down.
But the Cowboys quickly found themselves in a third-and-11 at their own 14-yard line.
And it was here that we saw the danger Turpin presents.
With linebacker Frankie Luvu lining up offside, Dak knew he had a free play. He dialed up the launch codes and hit Turpin for an 86-yard touchdown with No. 9 running untouched into the endzone.
"Any time I try to get the ball in my hands, I try to remind everybody, try to show excitement to the fans," Turpin said. "That's me when I get the ball, so always try, and make a play."
Make a play he did.
And this isn't the first time Turpin has made a monster play at Northwest Stadium.
Last season, Turpin made headlines as he managed a 99-yard return for a touchdown. After initially fumbling the punt, Turpin proceeded to do a 360 spin around a Washington defender, hit the gas, and never looked back.
"I like playing here," a smiling Turpin added. "I did something here last year, and I did something here this year, so one of my favorite places to play."
Yeah, we understand that.
The Cowboys have one game left at MetLife Stadium against the New York Giants to finish their season.
And it is one last chance for Turpin to do something special in 2025.
