Lamb and Pickens ignite the Cowboys' offense. Discover why this electrifying receiver duo is already elite, yet still driven to prove more.

The Dallas Cowboys might have finished under .500 for the second season in a row, but that does not mean that their 2025 season was without its redeeming qualities.

And the main one that comes to mind was how explosive the team's offense was, and that was due in no small part to their passing attack.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report's Moe Moton, he ranks who he thinks are the best wide receiver tandems in the league. And at No. 3 on his list, he has the Cowboys duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

"In Dallas, Pickens may be the league's best No. 2 receiver because he shares targets with CeeDee Lamb, who's established himself as a perennial Pro Bowler and All-Pro," Moton writes. "Lamb has racked up over 1,000 receiving yards in five consecutive Pro Bowl years and led the league with 135 receptions in 2023. Effective out of the slot, his versatility has allowed Pickens to blossom as a perimeter threat in the passing game."

Lamb remains the centerpiece of the Cowboys’ aerial attack, and was still able to record over 1,000 receiving yards this past season despite battling injuries.

What has elevated this duo into the top three, however, is the emergence of Pickens. Acquired in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers to give Dallas a true No. 2 option, he quickly proved to be far more than that. In 2025, Pickens delivered a breakout campaign with 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns, earning both Pro Bowl honors and All-Pro recognition.

Together, Lamb and Pickens complement each other perfectly. Lamb’s route-running precision and versatility pair seamlessly with Pickens’ explosiveness and ability to win contested catches. Defenses can no longer key in on a single target—double-teaming one often leaves the other in a favorable matchup.

In his piece, Moton refers to Pickens as an "upgraded version of Jameson Williams", which the Cowboys receiver should take offense to. The Detroit Lions' speedster is also another great big-play guy when his team needs it, but Pickens outclassed him in every single statistical category.

All respect to J-Mo, I don't believe he could be the centerpiece of an NFL offense like Pickens was this past season when Lamb was on the bench with an injury.

The Cowboys are hoping to get back to their winning ways in 2026, and the elite wide receiver duo is going to be at the center of that effort.
