Dak Prescott officially passed Tony Romo to become the Dallas Cowboys’ all-time leading passer, cementing his legacy with a record-setting throw against Philadelphia.

Dak Prescott has been called many things over his 10 seasons in Dallas ... leader, lightning rod and franchise face.

But now he carries a title no Cowboys quarterback has ever held at a higher level: the all-time passing king of America’s Team.

Prescott made history Sunday against the rival Eagles when his 9-yard strike to George Pickens in the third quarter pushed him past Tony Romo’s career total of 34,183 yards.

He entered the game needing 160 yards to break the record. He got them, and then some, rewriting the top line of one of the NFL's most iconic record books.

    That list includes legends.

"Dandy" Don Meredith, Hall of Famers Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman, then Romo, the man Prescott replaced in 2016 after being drafted in the fourth round, have all held the title.

And now Prescott sits above them all, a decade into a career built on durability, production, and consistent excellence.

    This isn't just a one-season spike, either.

Prescott has topped 2,500 passing yards eight times, thrown 30-plus touchdowns in three seasons, and delivered a near-record 4,902-yard campaign in 2019, finishing one yard shy of Romo's single-season mark.

He's a three-time Pro Bowler, the 2018 Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the engine behind four division titles.

Critics will always bring up the lack of a deep playoff run, but the numbers don’t lie. Prescott has produced at a level unmatched by any quarterback in Cowboys history.

His latest milestone comes in a season where Dallas has leaned heavily on his arm, leadership, and poise. And on a day when the Cowboys struggled early against Philadelphia, Prescott delivered and made history in the process.

From a fourth-round pick to the franchise's all-time leading passer, Dak Prescott's journey is now forever etched into the Cowboys' DNA.

The record belongs to him ... and he's still writing the story.
