Former Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci has the chance to do something incredible over the next few weeks.

The NFL is all about chances, and when yours comes, you'd better make the most of it, and for former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci, he's got the chance of a lifetime.

With the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game after beating the Buffalo Bills, head coach Sean Payton stated post-game that Bo Nix suffered a broken bone in his ankle, which ends his season.

And now Denver needs another quarterback.

Jared Stidham is in line to start against the New England Patriots, which is a huge headline in itself.

But so's this.

DiNucci has been signed to the Broncos practice squad as Payton's team now gears up for the Patriots.

Having not played an NFL game since 2020, when he was with the Cowboys, DiNucci now gets a chance to win a Super Bowl ring.

Likely to be Stidham's backup, DiNucci has the opportunity of a lifetime in Denver.

With so many quarterbacks not even getting close to a championship game (Mr. Prescott), the fact that Ben has a chance to play in a game that many haven't, just shows the odd nature of the NFL.

In the start of his career in the NFL, DiNucci went 21-of-40 for 180 yards while being sacked four times in a 23-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, he might get the chance to see the field against the Patriots.

The 29-year-old has spent time with Denver (2023), the Buffalo Bills (2024), New Orleans Saints (2024), and the Atlanta Falcons, and now with the Broncos again in 2025.

So he is well-traveled and a veteran that Stidham can lean on this week in what is the biggest game of his life.

The news of Nix's injury was likely a sucker punch for the Broncos, but the franchise appears to be fully confident in Stidham's ability to go toe-to-toe with Drake Maye and Co., with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

It would be the most Cowboys thing ever if DiNucci were part of a Super Bowl team with the Broncos, following in the footsteps of DeMarcus Ware. Plus, we have DeMarcus Lawrence with the Seattle Seahawks, who is in the NFC Championship game.

As the entire Cowboys organization watches on, it's DiNucci who has a shot at Super Bowl glory.
