Dak has a lot to work with in 2026, as he possesses weapons that are the envy of the NFL.
Last season, the Dallas Cowboys were driven by Dak Prescott and the offense, with coach Brian Schottenheimer's unit among the NFL's elite.
The defense? A laughingstock.
With Prescott having two genuine No. 1 weapons in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, coupled with Jake Ferguson rediscovering where the end zone was, and Javonte Williams having a career-best year running the ball, there wasn't much to complain about.
So, looking ahead to 2026 and what this offense could look like, once again, the expectations are high, and rightly so.
We know the Cowboys can put up points and go through a variety of avenues to do so.
But when ranking the Cowboys' supporting cast of running back, receiver, and tight end, do they have one of the NFL's best?
Close enough for ESPN's Bill Barnwell, who has the Cowboys at No. 7.
"The Cowboys might claim to have the best one-two punch in the league at wide receiver between CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens," Barnwell wrote. " Between Pickens and tight end Jake Ferguson, who made it back to the Pro Bowl after catching more than 80% of the passes thrown in his direction last season, it's tough to see Lamb earning 181 targets again anytime soon.
"Javonte Williams was a pleasant surprise at running back in 2025, staying healthy for the majority of the season and averaging nearly 5 yards per carry along the way. He had struggled to stay on the field since an early-career knee injury, so if he can keep this up in 2026, it'll be difficult to find many faults with what the Cowboys can roll out for Dak Prescott."
There are weapons everywhere, and you could argue the one thing missing from the passing attack in 2025 was Dak's famed seam routes for Ferguson. For one reason or another, that disappeared last year, and if that can return, it opens up so much more for the offense.
We know what CeeDee is. But there could be a little trepidation when it comes to what to expect from Javonte and George. Both had career-best years in 2025, so can we bank on them still producing at a high level? I think we can. Ferguson remains the one for me.
Yes, he found the end zone eight times last year, a career high, but he averaged just 7.3 yards per reception (ranked 25th among TEs). So that has to improve, and he's shown he can be a downfield threat (10.7 yards per catch in 2023).
Barnwell is right, there isn't much to fault when it comes to the Cowboys' offense and Dak's supporting cast.
And because of this, most Cowboys fans are excited about what the unit can do in 2026.
