Last season was good for the offense, but now with another offseason together, Pickens sees it becoming even better.
The Dallas Cowboys' offense was one of the better units in football last season, and that was largely due to George Pickens.
Posting 1,429 yards and 9 TDs from 93 receptions, Pickens earned his first Pro Bowl nod after what could be described as a near-perfect season in Dallas.
But now, as attention turns to the new season and the New York Giants in Week 1, all eyes are on what Pickens and Dallas have for an encore after last year's efforts.
Many still expect the offense to be as good as, if not better than, last season, when it averaged 27.7 points per game, now that the defense can help shoulder the load too.
As for Pickens, after scintillating throughout the offseason, it's time for him to really put his talents on display as the regular season nears.
But as for what his goals are in 2026? Well, they are pretty straightforward.
"Kind of where I left off last year, and then definitely for a team goal, that's definitely what I see and what I kind of want for the team that we've got this year, is to do bigger and better things, whether that's later in the postseason or past the postseason to the bigger game," Pickens said. "Just reaching for that, honestly."
With another full offseason to build chemistry with Dak Prescott, who was at the peak of his powers last year, there is every reason to think that Pickens could have another Pro Bowl-type season.
Now, that would likely mean a huge payday next offseason, but we are getting a little ahead of ourselves right now.
The focus is on Week 1, and Pickens, along with CeeDee Lamb, Ryan Flournoy, Javonte Williams, and Jake Ferguson, will be tasked with doing the heavy lifting to get that crucial first win of the season.
Do that, and the team goal, which we assume is a Super Bowl, is off to a good start, and it also keeps the good vibes that have been around all offseason flowing for the team.
"Anytime I can continue what I was leaving off of, and definitely for the team," Pickens said. "Big things, big goals, big aspirations for everybody, so definitely want to accomplish that."
Onto Week 1 we go.
