The Cowboys outlasted the Texans on the road, with Schottenheimer's team always having faith that they would get the win.

The Dallas Cowboys have moved to 2-2 on the season after a stirring 34-30 win over the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on Sunday.

In a game that was a classic tale of two halves, as the offense was stifled in the first, scoring just six points, and the defense was up and down, both came to play in the second half.

Dak and Co. managed 28 points and scored touchdowns on four of their five second-half possessions, while the defense forced back-to-back punts as the score flipped from 23-13 to 27-23 in quick succession.

And when Prescott needed a touchdown to win the game, in a spot similar to last week, this time with a different outcome, he went 8-for-11 for 74 yards and a touchdown with 40 seconds left.

And for head coach Brian Schottenheimer, after a tough ending in Rio, the flight back, and everything in between, he's glad to be back on the winner's list.

"God is good, this was a tough week for our guys, coming back from Rio, we have a word in our family, the team, 'Godfidence," Schottenheimer said. "And that's what this team did today, they stuck together, we've been preaching consistency and finish all week, and what a hell of a football game."

The game was following a similar path to last week against Baltimore, with the offense having the chance to put an end to Houston's resistance up 23-20 with seven minutes left, as a touchdown would have made it a two-score game.

But a three-and-out followed, and the Texans then marched down the field to score the go-ahead touchdown. So it was far from a perfect second half, and Dak had to go win the game again.

And this time he did, with the help of CeeDee Lamb who had a monster day, having 17 receptions from 21 targets, for 189 yards and a TD.

Call it what you want, but the Cowboys came through in the clutch.

The offense did late, and the defense, while it had to deal with a final Hail Mary attempt, did enough to help the offense.

In truth, it was nearly identical to how things played out last week, only this time, Dallas was on the right side of it.

Why? "Godfidence.''
