The Cowboys' 2025 draft class had its moments in its first season, but where do they rank among the other 31 draft classes?

The Dallas Cowboys' 2025 draft class was a mixed bag as it pertains to production in Year 1.

Some played a lot, others a little bit, and some hardly at all, others didn't see the field.

For a team that needed to hit on its draft selections after its free agency dealings, the Cowboys didn't exactly hit the motherlode.

But they also didn't completely flunk, either.

Assessing the group overall is a tricky task.

Let's go through them.

We have Tyler Booker, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Shavon Revel Jr., Jaydon Blue, Shemar James, Ajani Cornelius, Jay Toia, Phil Mafah, and Tommy Akingbesote.

ESPN's Aaron Schatz, in ranking the production of every draft class from 2025 has put the Cowboys at No. 12, with Booker leading the way as the most impressive.

"Tyler Booker was above average among guards with a 93.1% pass block win rate and 75.1% run block win rate," Schatz wrote. "Edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku had only two sacks but 23 pressures and 40 combined tackles.

"Third-round pick Shavon Revel Jr. was injured for the first part of the season but came back to start five games with 35 combined tackles. And fifth-round linebacker Shemar James started six games and had 91 combined tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble."

Entering the offseason, the Cowboys can feel good about where Booker and Eze stand regarding their status for 2026 and the impact the pair can make.

Revel Jr. was always going to be up against it to come in and be productive after no training camp and just a ramp-up after his knee injury. But he's one to watch.

James had his moments throughout the year, and he will be looked at as one who is expected to take a leap in 2026.

So it wasn't all bad for Dallas' rookies, and in an ideal world, only Booker and Eze would have played a significant number of snaps in 2025, but injuries meant others had to step in and do their best to offer something.

Given where the defense is and the sheer number of issues, the Cowboys' first two round picks, providing that one, Dallas keeps them both, and two, they are used on defense, both can expect to see the field early in 2026.

But is there enough to take away from the 2025 season that has Cowboys Nation confident that Booker, Eze, Revel Jr., and James can go to another level next year?

I'd say so. And having the rookie class as the 12th-best based on production isn't bad either.
