Crosby has seen his name mentioned as a possible trade candidate over the past couple of days, but the defensive end isn't too bothered by it.
The last couple of days have seen the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby linked in a trade move. ... yet again.
We know the Cowboys tried to trade for Crosby three times in the early part of the offseason, but most felt like that move was dead in the water. ...
Until Jerry Jones stoked the fires in Oxnard, stating the Cowboys didn't walk away from the deal, hinting that maybe something could be in the works.
As for Crosby, he has made it known he is a Raider and is ready to get down to business with head coach Klint Kubiak and get ready for the new season.
But that hasn't stopped people from thinking that a move might be forthcoming sooner rather than later.
And for Maxx, all of the noise around his future and where he could be playing in 2026 doesn't faze him in the slightest.
“It doesn’t change anything for me, to be honest,” Crosby said via USA Today. “If you’re an athlete in this position, you see everything. Regardless, if you want to or not. You can try to live in a cage, but then your teammate is coming up to you, ‘How do you deal with it?’
“I’m getting rehab, the first thing this morning, and all my teammates are looking at it and I’m trying to ignore it. But ultimately, you just have to learn to roll with the punches. I’ve gone through a lot in my personal life, a lot in my football life. So, (stuff) like that is nothing."
So Crosby is focused on what he can control: getting 100-percent healthy and having the best training camp he can for the Raiders.
He has even stated that on the practice field, he has to be told to reel it in a bit, so it is clear he is full go at this stage of the offseason.
But those Cowboys links, folks, they are everywhere, and unfortunately for Crosby, until either he does become a Cowboy or the November 2 deadline passes, this is always going to be headline news most days.
Not that he cares, though. Or so he says.
