The Dallas Cowboys, at 3-5-1 ahead of their "Monday Night Football" bout with the Las Vegas Raiders, remain second in the NFC East standings through the early window in Week 11.

While the Dallas Cowboys board their charter to Las Vegas, the two teams below them in the NFC East division continued to struggle as the Washington Commanders lost in overtime to the Miami Dolphins in Madrid and the New York Giants fell to the Green Bay Packers at home after blowing another second-half lead.

Commanders Fall in Madrid As Mariota Begins Overtime with Costly Turnover

Washington and Miami traded field goals in the first half before two touchdowns knotted the score at 13-13 going into overtime. On the Commanders' very first play of the extra period, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota (in for Jayden Daniels after he dislocated his elbow last week) threw an interception that was returned back to Washington's 35-yard line. That set up a 29-yard field goal by Riley Patterson to give Miami a 16-13 win overseas.

Washington had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but Matt Gay's 56-yard field goal attempt sailed wide right. Gay was 2/4 on field goals on the day.

"It's tough," Commanders coach and former Cowboys coordinator Dan Quinn said. "This one stings. Guys are definitely hurting, and I thought in a lot of spaces they battled, and we had our opportunity to go win it. We didn't get that done."

The Commanders dropped their sixth game in a row to fall to 3-8 with two tough matchups against the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings looming amid Daniels' questionable health status.

The Giants got on the board first over the Packers, 7-0, after the first quarter, but Green Bay's quarterback Jordan Love battled an in-game injury to throw a go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter for a 27-20 win.

Love suffered a sprained shoulder, which brought in backup Malik Willis, who added a touchdown pass on one of his two completions. Packers running back Josh Jacobs also exited the game with a knee injury.

Giants Fire Brian Daboll, But Can't End Losing Streak As Winston Blows New York's Latest Lead

The Giants, in their first game after firing head coach Brian Daboll, were not able to bring enough firepower against a beatable NFC foe. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was ruled out with a concussion and backup Jameis Winston got the start for interim coach Mike Kafka.

Winston was nearly picked off numerous times in the first half before finishing the game with 201 passing yards on 19-of-29 with a rushing touchdown. That score put New York up 20-19 going into the fourth quarter, but the Packers would retake the lead with a score and two-point conversion. Winston was intercepted on the next possession and Green Bay bled out the clock.

Cowboys ex Micah Parsons ended the game with a sack of Winston as time expired on a hail mary attempt.

It was the third time this season that New York lost a game in which they lead at some point during the fourth quarter.

Overall, it's the Giants' fourth loss in a row to fall to 2-9 and idle at the basement of the NFC East. They travel to the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots for their next two games before the Week 14 bye.

The division's leader, the Philadelphia Eagles at 7-2, face the 6-3 Lions on "Sunday Night Football" tonight from the Motor City.

Dallas will conclude the week against the 2-7 Raiders and remain second in the division, win or lose. The Cowboys will play their rival Eagles in Arlington in Week 12.
