Dak wasn't in a good mood post-game after a disastrous final few moments in the loss to Baltimore.
The Dallas Cowboys lost 34-31 to the Baltimore Ravens in Rio on Sunday at Maracanã Stadium in the most "Cowboys Way'' possible.
With Dak Prescott and the offense having the ball at the Ravens' two-yard line, and also being on first down, the unit stalled, throwing the ball (not running it after Javonte Williams had powered through all night).
Eventually, Dallas settled for a field goal, tying the game at 31-31 with just seven seconds left.
Overtime loomed ... or so we thought.
After the ensuing kickoff, Lamar Jackson hit a 26-yard strike to Zay Flowers to put the Ravens in field-goal range with one second left, and Tyler Loop nailed a 56-yard attempt, sinking the Cowboys in a game they had no business losing.
And for Dak, he was visibly annoyed that the GOTI ("greatest offense their is'') failed so badly late.
"Frustrated as hell, embarrassed, we don't call ourselves [the] best offense, GOTI, and we get down to the one-yard line and don't put it in," Prescott said. "Just sucks, not a lot of words or full explanation of it. Defense shouldn't have even been in this position. We've got to put the game away. Period."
For most, the fact that not one run play was called is baffling, given how close to the end zone Dallas was; three pass plays, including a false start by Luke Schoonmaker, killed the drive.
And gave Lamar hope.
But if we are being honest, there is no way the Cowboys should have lost this game, based on the position "GOTI" was in.
The defense should have never even been put in that position, Prescott is right.
However, we also have to ask what happened in those seven seconds that let the Ravens get a huge chunk play. ... which to us was a lapse in game management that was actually about 60 minutes long.
Sunday, the "Cowboys Way'' ended with a brutal loss in Rio as a result.
