As Dallas’ high-priced offense sputters through another lackluster performance, a regressing Dak Prescott faces mounting pressure to fix the errant throws and suspect play-calling stalling the season.

It's official, folks: The Dallas Cowboys have an offensive problem after the Green Bay Packers' 23-13 curb-stomping at Lambeau Field on Sunday night.

It is now the second week that the offense hasn't looked anywhere near a top-10 unit, as last week, they were held to just 16 points, and against Green Bay, they had seven points up until a minute to go in the game.

And it leads to a question: What is wrong with Dak Prescott?

Prescott looks like a shell of himself, which is part and parcel of the lack of protection from his offensive line from the consistent pressure from the Packers' defensive line, not to mention the first interception, which wasn't good.

The Cowboys' offense took the ball and punted on its first two possessions to start the game slowly, and they averaged just 4.3 yards per play, were 5/13 on third down, and nothing looked easy.

Every yard the offense got felt like a Herculean task as Dallas' $60 million QB and supposed MVP candidate seems to have regressed.

The play-calling was suspect; the inability to make changes to help Dak navigate the blitz wasn't there, something that used to be his superpower.

And while the defense gave up "only" 23 points and saw three touchdown passes dropped by the Packers' receivers, Dak is taking this loss on himself and the offense.

“Defense, to me, played a good enough game for us to go out there and win this, and we didn’t hold our own on offense, and that’s ultimately what sucks about it,” Prescott said.

Is Dak right? Let's take a look.

The defense got an interception in the first quarter, and what did GOTI do on the next drive? Dak threw a pick at the Green Bay 17-yard line.

Then the offense drove and got to the Packers' 28-yard line, and Lamb slipped on a slant route, and Dak was picked again, with the score now at 10-7. Green Bay gets the ball, marches down the field, and scores a touchdown to go up 17-0.

The defense forces a punt on the first possession of the third quarter, and Dallas scores a touchdown. Okay, that was ideal.

The defense then allowed a field goal, a punt, and another field goal on the next three possessions, which is nothing to sneeze at, and GOTI when punt, turnover on downs, and turnover on downs.

Just yuck all around.

The defense on third down in the first half was woeful, allowing at one stage 7/7 on third down. Second half? They changed it up and did enough for the offense to do something.

But they didn't.

So yeah, the defense wasn't good overall, but once again, they did enough at certain points to get the ball back to the offense, and GOTI, for the second straight week, let them down -- badly.
