Pickens is coming off a superb 2025 season, but when ranked against the rest of the NFL's elite, where does he sit?

The 2025 season for Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens was one where we finally saw it all click.

Yes, there were some concerns about off-field issues before he came to Dallas, but for the most part, Pickens was a model citizen, en route to posting 1,429 yards and 9 TDs on 93 receptions.

His connection with Dak Prescott was evident early on as the pair routinely connected for big gains as the defense struggled to stop the Cowboys' offense.

Pickens earned his first Pro Bowl nod, and now attention turns to whether or not he can do it again in 2026.

With the offense remaining the same, Pickens, in theory, should have another Pro Bowl-caliber season under Brian Schottenheimer. Looking ahead, we know how good Pickens is, but where does he rank among the NFL's elite?

Granted, he has just one great season, but where should he find himself?

CBS Sports' Pete Prisco has revealed his top 100 NFL players list, and Pickens comes in at No. 66.

"In his first season with the Cowboys in 2025, he showed he has the tools to be a star player on the outside. He had 93 catches and nine touchdowns," Prisco wrote. "He also averaged 15.4 yards per catch."

So that is a nice little feather in George's cap, after so much uncertainty surrounded his move to Dallas.

But on closer inspection, it gets even better for Pickens, as in Prisco's list, he's the eighth-best receiver in football, and you could make the case, based on his 2025 season, that he could be higher.

A.J. Brown (No. 64), CeeDee Lamb (No. 60), Amon Ra-St. Brown (46), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (No. 13), Puka Nacua (No. 9), Justin Jefferson (No. 8), and Ja'Marr Chase (No. 4) are all ahead of Pickens.

But if we are basing this list of 2025 only, Pickens was third in yards, fourth in touchdowns, fourth in yards per game and eighth in receptions.

He had a better year than A.J. Brown, Lamb, Chase, and Jefferson. Now, Pickens showed he was one of the best receivers in football in 2025, so he could be ranked higher than those just mentioned if it is based purely on last season.

If he can back up his 2025 season in 2026, then I'd imagine that when Prisco does this list next year, George might be a little higher than eighth.
