The Cowboys have been linked with several pass rushers, but one might be head and shoulders above the rest.

It is no secret that the Dallas Cowboys are pass-rush hunting this offseason, thanks to trading away Micah Parsons.

Now, the Cowboys are trying to rectify that move, and were in on Maxx Crosby until they weren't.

The other big fish is Cincinnati Bengals star Trey Hendrickson.

Yes, he's a little older and will be pricey (at least $25 million APY according to some reports), but the pedigree is there.

Trey's a sack-monster, totaling 17.5 in back-to-back seasons before injury derailed his 2025 season.

But if the Cowboys want to go younger at edge, and look to take advantage of the prime of a player's career, well, there could be one name who might fit the bill.

We have mentioned him before, and that's Los Angeles Chargers stud Odafe Oweh.

He stated the year as a Baltimore Raven, played five games, and didn't register a sack. He then moved to L.A. and in 12 games, posted 7.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and 13 quarterback hits.

That is some good production, especially considering he only started twice.

So if the Cowboys are interested, Oweh could be a nice option.

But The Athletic's Daniel Popper projects a four-year, $88 million contract. That's a crisp $22 million APY.

"Oweh is an ascending player who started to show more variety in his pass-rush arsenal after joining the Chargers, including an inside spin move that is a changeup off his cross-chop to the edge," Popper wrote. "The change-of-scenery created a robust market for Oweh, as his traits coalesced into consistent production."

He's younger than Hendrickson and cheaper, too.

Plus, he posted 10.0 sacks in 2024 for the Ravens and backed it up with 7.5 last season, so he is becoming more productive.

Can the Cowboys look to add a pass rusher like Oweh?

Absolutely. Jerry Jones' "bust the budget" quote is still relevant here, and while Odafe might not be a household name, he could very quickly become one under Christian Parker.

As a big-part starter, is Oweh ready to become one of the key defensive pieces for an NFL team? That is the question Dallas has to ask itself.

And if the answer to that is yes, then the Cowboys should be kicking the tires on Odafe in the coming hours.
