NFL Draft Look Ahead: Who Could Cowboys Target on Offense Early On? cover image

Scouting top offensive prospects like Tyson and Tate. Could Love or Sadiq also be Dallas' early draft targets?

While the Dallas Cowboys' offense has been fantastic most of the season, they’ve sputtered lately, causing many fans to look towards the offseason to fix perceived woes. To that end, a lot of thought has been given to the 2026 NFL draft and who Dallas could target in the early rounds.

In that vein, let’s take a look at some names that the Cowboys could be looking at on the offensive side of the ball. We’ll be looking at guys more in range of their own pick, which is currently slated to be 11th overall, as opposed to the pick they got from the Green Bay Packers, which is currently sitting at 28th overall.

Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

If Dallas is unable to retain George Pickens, wide receiver shoots to the top of the list of the needs for the team on offense. If they choose to address it early, then Tyson would be the top option.

He has ideal size at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, is not afraid to be physical as a blocker and can do damage over the top and with underneath routes. He’s the complete package and would finally put an end to the Cowboy’s quest for another high-end target at the position.

Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

With as talented as he is, it’s entirely possible that Tyson is gone before Dallas’ pick. In that case, the 6-foot-3, 195 pound Tate would be more than a mere constellation prize.

While his job has been made easier playing against All-World talent Jeremiah Smith, Tate has had bursts of brilliance. For example, he’s had 24 catches for 459 yards and four TDs over his last four games.

And of course, he’ll be playing alongside CeeDee Lamb who will draw attention in much the same way that Smith has. While not the best receiver in this draft, he’d still be someone to be very excited about.

Jeremyiah Love, RB, Notre Dame

If the team can’t re-sign Javonte Williams, running back immediately becomes a top need in much the same way WR would if they can’t bring Pickens back. In that case, Love would be the only RB worth drafting in the first round.

He’s a big play maven with multiple runs over 90 yards in his career while also being an effective pass catcher, as evidenced by his 59 career receptions. I’m not a huge proponent of drafting running backs early but, if Dallas chooses to, then Love needs to be the pick.

Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

While Jake Ferguson just received a large contract and has been very productive this season, he hasn’t quite passed the eye test to a matching extent. If Dallas thinks it might be worth investing more into the position, Sadiq would be by far the top choice.

An athletic freak standing at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, he might be the most unique player the Cowboys could have at the position in decades. The lack of production (642 yards in his career) could give some pause, but that’s more a product of the Oregon offense than a commentary on Sadiq’s talent.

With the way Dallas has used tight ends in recent history, he’d have the opportunity to fully unleash the skills that haven’t shown up in the box score quite yet.

KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

Concepcion is who Dallas has thought KaVontae Turpin could be this whole time. At 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, he’s both taller and stronger than Turpin but equally explosive.

Dallas has tried for years to no avail to get the underneath slot role going in the offense but, unfortunately, Turpin has proven to be more of a kick returner playing wide receiver than the inverse. Concepcion would fill that role better than anyone else has and, for good measure, he’s an elite returner as well, taking two punts back to the house so far this season.
