Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer revealed a lofty goal for the offensive line in 2026.
Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer was one of the best linemen in 2025, leading to a Second-team All-Pro nod, a Protector of the Year nomination, and led to receiving a three-year, $52.5 million extension.
Brewer understands the value of what he accomplished, but also understands that they are not his ceiling as a player. Now, the Dolphins center has set a lofty goal for himself and the offensive line in 2026.
Miami's line is important for myriad reasons, but even more so due to needing to keep the run game as prominent as possible. On top of Brewer wanting to secure a First-team All-Pro nod, winning the Protector of the Year, he also wants a teammate on the line to be nominated.
"I said where to go from here now is to be the absolute best and get to the point where it's unquestioned," Brewer said on "Drive Time." "Last year, second-team All-Pro. This year, I need to go for first-team All-Pro. Last year, I didn't make the Pro Bowl, not an alternate, not second, not first, so that's the goal this year. I was a nominee for Protector of the Year last year; this year, it's to actually get that award and also have another guy on the offensive line be a nominee for the Protector of the Year."
Brewer has already been labeled as a trending breakout player for 2026, but his own personal goals are based on some individual goals but to aid another lineman be nominated for Protector of the Year.
To have two linemen up for the same award would be huge for the Dolphins, as it would prove that the line is one of the best units in the league and on the team. As stated, the run game needs to continue having the same level of prowess it had in 2026, mainly due to the questions regarding the quarterback and wide receiver room,
Malik Willis was brought in to be Miami's starter in 2026, but he has six professional starts under his belt. Nobody knows if he can emerge as a true franchise option.
The wide receiver room is also full of younger players and veterans who have not quite had the chance to break out or have not shown that. Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell lead the group and may be the best shot at establishing a solid duo for Willis to dish the ball to.
That said, the Dolphins made sure to invest more in the line, bringing in the 6-foot-6 rookie Kadyn Proctor, who figures to be an oversized guard on th left side of the line with left tackle Patrick Paul.
With two potential bullies on the left and Brewer in the center, the left side of the line can be very fortified, and Brewer's goals may just be realized.
The right side of the line is more questionable with Jonah Savaiinaea moving to right guard and Austin Jackson in the right tackle spot. Savaiinaea was the worst-rated guard in 2025, but was also a rookie.
Jackson has only played 14 games over the past two seasons, and his health remains a major question.
If anyone is to join Brewer in receving recognition as a blocker it may be Proctor or Paul. Either way, the Dolphins do have the makings of what could be a special offesnive line in 2026.
