Miami Dolphins rookie left guard Kadyn Proctor has drawn plenty of praise, and center Aaron Brewer referred to the young lineman as "phenomenal."

Miami Dolphins rookie offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor has drawn plenty of praise since he arrived in South Florida. The former Alabama lineman is now set for the starting left guard position, and the Dolphins may have found a gem.

Proctor continues to showcase that he is NFL-ready, and he has drawn praise from fellow linemen Patrick Paul, Jonah Savaiinaea, Austin Jackson, and now from Brewer. While this is not the first time that Brewer has spoken about the rookie, he referred to his play thus far as "phenomenal."

"I love how he's evolving over training camp right now, every single day. Like that's our goal. Just take it one day at a time and come out every day with just one little thing to get better on, you know? You see that every day with him, and he's just phenomenal," Brewer said of Proctor.

Brewer is considered to be one of the best linemen in the NFL, and that was evident when he was up for the newly added Protector of the Year award. The center was also the highest-rated at his position on Pro Football Focus.

Simply put, if one of the best linemen in the NFL is saying that a rookie's play is phenomenal, that glowing praise should be taken at face value.

When Proctor was initially drafted at No. 12 overall, there was plenty said about the Dolphins with that pick. Many analysts believed that Miami was reaching while they skipped over blue-chip prospects like Ruben Bain or Caleb Downs.

Regardless, new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley were strong in their conviction that Proctor would be the right player.

Thus far through OTAs, minicamp, and training camp, Proctor has impressed exactly who he has needed to impress. Now, he will need to put his production on the field in a significant way.

Proctor and the rest of the rookies will get their chance to truly show what they can do, as the Dolphins are set to take on the Washington Commanders in their first preseason game on Aug. 14. This will also be a chance for the Miami coaching staff to get a first glimpse at their roster.

Proctor and Paul have been doing solid work in training camp, often using their size to push defenders while opening run lanes for the rush attack. They have also stopped linemen like Chop Robinson and Zach Sieler from getting at Malik Willis.

Now, Proctor will get the chance to do so in a more meaningful way when he takes on a team that will also potentially play their starters.

Proctor already has a ton of responsibility on his shoulders as a rookie who will be given a starting role, but now he can showcase that he is more than capable of being another anchor on the Dolphins' offensive line.
