Following an eventful first round, here is a look at the Day 2 picks for the Miami Dolphins and their remaining roster needs.
The Miami Dolphins addressed two major needs in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Taking Alabama tackle Kadyn Proctor and San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson, the new era of football under general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has begun.
That said, the Dolphins will now enter Day 2 of the draft with four picks and still with a bunch of roster needs.

Round 3: No. 75
Round 3: No. 87

Dolphins Remaining draft Needs
Cornerback
Despite bringing in Chris Johnson, the Dolphins still have a big need at cornerback. Rasul Douglas is unlikely to return to the team, and Jack Jones left in free agency.
With Johnson, the team may have a new CB1, but the other options are Darrell Baker Jr., Chris Johnson, Alex Austin, and Jason Marshall Jr. An influx of young talent will help the defense figure out the best secondary configuration.
Wide Receiver
The Dolphins were projected to take a receiver in the first round, and had been connected to Washington's Denzel Boston. That did not happen, but he remains undrafted.
Miami may make a move to land one of the top receivers that remain on the board including Boston, Alabama's Germie Bernard, Louisville's Chris Bell, and Notre Dame's Malachi Fields.
Tutu Atwell and Jalen Tolbert are the main pass catchers currently, but the Dolphins need to upgrade the unit in a big way. Expect a pass catcher to be taken in the second or high in the third round.
Edge
With the exit of Bradley Chubb, the Dolphins were left with Chop Robinson. Josh Uche and David Ojabo were brought in, but Miami needs to bring in some younger and dynamic talent at the position.
This is epsecially true after the team passed on a "sure thing" in Miami Hurricanes edge Rueben Bain Jr. There are quite a few prospects that are in the second and third round that have been attached to the Dolphins, including Auburn's Keyron Crawford.
Tight End
The Dolphins brought back Greg Dulcich, but Darren Waller is unlikely to play in South Florida again. That said, the offense could do well with another pass catching tight end like Oscar Delp out of Georgia.
Safety
Similar to skipping out on taking Ohio State's Caleb Downs, the Dolphins need to address safety at some point. The current options of Dante Trader Jr. and Lonnie Johnson Jr, are nowhere near enough.
