Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver has received several head coach interviews.

The Miami Dolphins are already engaged in their search for their new general manager. Despite bringing in a potentially all-new front office, the team might also have to find a new defensive coordinator come 2026.

Current defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is once again a hot commodity in the head coach search for multiple teams. Weaver nearly left the Dolphins ahead of the 2025 season, as he had received multiple interviews during that head coach hiring cycle.

Weaver would return, but now he has already set three interviews. Of the available head coach vacancies, the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, and now the Baltimore Ravens have requested to interview the Dolphins' DC.

Per reports, Weaver is set to interview with the Cardinals on Friday, the Falcons on Saturday, and the Ravens' interview is to be determined.

Of the three requests, Weaver might be a strong candidate for the Ravens' job due to his connection with the organization.

Weaver was selected by the Ravens in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft, where he played defensive end for the team between the 2002 and 2005 seasons.

Following his time as a player, Weaver would work his way through multiple NFL teams as a defensive line coach. Finally, he would return to the Ravens in 2021 to serve as the defensive line coach and run game coordinator.

From 2022 to 2023 he was promoted to assistant head coach and defensive line coach.

The Dolphins would hire Weaver as defensive coordinator in 2024, where he has remained through two seasons.

Now, Weaver is back on the market as a potential head coach, and it is believed he may get an even bigger look and chance in 2026. He has proven to be a leader of men, and his no-nonsense style of coaching has proven dividends for the Dolphins' defense.

During pressers, Weaver has also exhibited a style that has been down-the-middle, and it's understandable why he is a hit with players.

With his over 15 years of coaching experience and being a former player, Weaver could find himself as a first-time head coach in the coming weeks.

Should the Dolphins lose Weaver, hiring a new GM won't be the only task on the team's list for the 2026 season.
