The Miami Dolphins have pulled off a major front office shake-up just days after the 2026 NFL Draft.

In a quite shocking move, the Miami Dolphins have made several front office moves, including relieving interim general manager Champ Kelly of his duties.

Kelly stepped in when Chris Grier was fired back in October, and has spent nearly 20 years in front office and scouting roles throughout the NFL. Despite being the senior personnel executive and interim general manager, Miami has parted ways.

On top of Kelly and the Dolphins parting ways. Miami has also parted ways with former 10-year pro scout Andy Howell and JP Correia, also a pro scout with the team through the last four years.

To add to the front office shake up for the team, the Dolphins are expected to hire Josh Scobey as senior personnel executive.

What is interesting about these moves is that they occurred directly after the draft and not before. New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan may have waited to ensure the work that was done for the draft was well accounted for.

There have been multiple changes since Sullivan took over, some of which have involved letting go of front office and personnel staff who were tied to the previous regimes. It makes sense that these changes are being enacted, as this is a new era of Dolphins football.

Sullivan brought in former Atlanta Falcons assistant general manager Kyle Smith to assist in the same position, and now Scobey has been added to the front office staff.

With the NFL Draft now over, it appears Sullivan was ensuring that he could rebuild the staff in the manner that he sees fit. Whether or not the scouts and former executives were let go due to being part of Grier's hires or staff remains to be seen, but the organization continues to move in a new direction.

Sullivan came from the Green Bay Packers, where he spent more than 20 years in the front office staff. He was most recently the vice president of player personnel before being hired by the Dolphins.

Additionally, former Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley was also hired as the team's new head coach.

Sullivan and Hafley have now engaged in their first draft together, and mini camp and the offseason program for the Dolphins is set to begin. Whether or not the draft picks selected will be a hit remains to be seen, but the sweeping changes have already transformed the Miami organization.

With a host of new players, coaches, and front office staff, it will be interesting to see how it all melds in the coming years.
