Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley has high praise for the team's new pass game coordinator, Kevin Patullo, and former offensive coordinator.

The Miami Dolphins are heading into a new era of their franchise in 2026. They've already endured a bundle of changes, including adding their new head coach, Jeff Hafley.

Hafley will get his first opportunity as an NFL head coach. The 46-year-old has added plenty of experienced support, including former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patull.

Patullo only spent one season as an offensive coordinator and will now serve as the pass game coordinator for the Dolphins. The Dolphins hired Patullo on Feb. 11 and will work alongside offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.

Last season, Patullo served as the Eagles' OC, his first time doing so. However, it was a nightmare. The Eagles' offense was far from where it was in 2024, as it ranked in the bottom half of the league in major categories. Philadelphia ranked 24th in total yards and 19th in scoring.

It came as quite a shock considering the top-end talent the Eagles possess. Because they underachieved, the Eagles fired Patullo in mid-January following their playoff loss to the San Fracnsio 49ers.

Hafley will have a lot on his plate and possibly a new quarterback under center in 2026. Nonetheless, he has high hopes for the team and Patullo. When talking to the media at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, Hafley highly praised Patullo.

"When I interviewed him, I was blown away, the knowledge that he has, the football experience that he has, what he did for that entire organization – don't forget he won a Super Bowl,” Hafley said. “Behind the scenes, what he did with that offense and with that whole team and listening to him talk and his football knowledge and not just about offense, but about game management, about situational football, I got off the Zoom and I said to Bobby, I said, 'We've got to try to hire this guy.'”

Patullo has an extensive coaching history. He started off as a graduate assistant in 2003 at South Florida. He then earned his first NFL gig as an offensive assistant with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2007.

From there, he worked with the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, and Indianapolis Colts before he landed with the Eagles in 2021. From 2021-24, Patullo served as the pass game coordinator and was promoted to associate head coach in 2023.

Patullo may have underachieved; however, he is back to where he thrives, and the Dolphins and Hafley will look to benefit from it.
