Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Kenneth Grant is set to return to practice on Wednesday.

The Miami Dolphins have been playing solid on defense, and now the team is set to get back one of its most important players.

After spending the regular season on the PUP list, defensive tackle Kenneth Grant is expected to return to practice on Wednesday. Head coach Jeff Hafley spoke about Grant coming back ahead of Week 4, and he confirmed the defender's return during media availability on Monday.

Grant was a huge piece of the Dolphins defense in 2025, but he suffered an undisclosed lower-body injury during training camp that led to his not being able to take the field thus far through four games.

Hafley had stated that Grant was being "impatient," but they were ensuring the defensive tackle was plenty ready to step onto the field before actually doing so.

On Monday, Hafley confirmed that Grant would return to practice on Wednesday ahead of the team's Week 5 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.

"He will practice, just as I thought. He had a good weekend; he stayed back. We wanted him to get some work done rather than come with the team, in order for him to have a really good day today to get ready to practice on Wednesday. I am excited to see where he's at," Hafley said of Grant.

The Dolphins have been showing growth on the defensive side of the ball. After three weeks of posting no sacks, the Miami pass rush got through to the Minnesota Vikings' quarterback, Kyler Murray, four times.

Despite the four sacks, the Dolphins could not close out the game, and lost 15-10.

Now, with Grant heading back on the line, this Miami defense and pass rush might just get more explosive.

The Miami defensive line has been a shining spot, and the team remains in the top 15 in terms of rush defense. Getting Grant back healthy could offer an even bigger boost on that front.

Additional Dolphins Injury Udpates

Hafley also spoke about wide receiver Caleb Douglas. Douglas has been out for the past two games after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2.

Hafley indicated that the receiver is "day-to-day," and that he would not count Douglas out to suit up against the Bengals.

The Dolphins' offense needs a proverbial shot in the arm, and Douglas' return could do that. With running back De'Von Achane out and Douglas dealing with an ankle injury, it has been a struggle to get points on the board.

With the defense doing what it could to keep Miami in the game on Sunday, the offense could simply not finish drives.

Douglas coming back might help to ensure that quarterback Malik Willis has what he needs to finish drives and score some much-needed touchdowns.
