The Miami Dolphins have some strong outlooks and good news in their third and final injury report.
Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley spoke to the media on Friday to confirm that both edge Chop Robinson and linebacker Ronnie Harrison will be out for Week 2.
Despite losing two key players, the rest of the third and final injury report offers some good news on the rest of the roster.
For the most part, the Dolphins are heading into Week 2 with a relatively healthy roster. Per the team's official site, the full final injury report is as follows:
| Player | Position | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Game Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ronnie Harrison | ILB | Hamstring | DNP | DNP | DNP | OUT |
| Chop Robinson | EDGE | Concussion | LP | DNP | DNP | OUT |
| Tucker Addington | LS | Shoulder | LP | LP | LP | QUESTIONABLE |
| Seydou Traore | TE | Thumb / Achilles | LP | LP | LP | (-) |
| Dante Trader Jr. | S | Hamstring | FP | FP | FP | (-) |
| Malik Willis | QB | Toe | FP | FP | FP | (-) |
Harrison and Robinson are both the known players who will not play against the 49ers, but the team got some better news on long snapper Tucker Addington.
Addington suffered a shoulder injury after making a tackle during the Dolphins' Week 1 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. The result of the tackle led to the special teams player needing to step out.
Miami nearly had to use their backup option, which is rookie linebacker Jacob Rodriguez. While Rodriguez was taking snaps as the backup long snapper, Addington was able to go back in and finish the game.
Addington may have been limited all week, but he now has a questionable status. That is a bit better than going into the weekend with a doubtful status.
Additionally, tight end Seydou Traore has had his injury status removed, as he has been dealing with a thumb and Achilles injury since Week 1 and now into Week 2. He was limited all week, but appears to be fully healthy and ready to go.
Safety Dante Trader Jr. appeared on the injury report with a hamstring injury, but he was not limited and has no injury status for the game. The same goes for quarterback Malik Willis, who has a toe ailment but was not limited.
Apart from the listed players, the Dolphins have a mostly healthy roster, which is definitely a good sign. That was also the case for Week 1.
Miami will need all available players, as they face a tough challenge against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers looked very good and came away with a big win against the Los Angeles Rams in Australia, and they look to take down the Dolphins to move to 2-0 this season.
Conversely, the Dolphins are aiming to avoid falling to 0-2. Despite the loss to the Raiders, there were some strong moments that can be built upon, and the idea for Hafley and company is to get better each week to end up grinding out some hard-fought wins.
