The Miami Dolphins have made several roster moves, including waiving quarterback Mark Gronowski.

With training camp wrapping up for most teams, there should be plenty of roster movement, and there has been for the Miami Dolphins.

Per the team's official site, quarterback Mark Gronowski was waived, as was safety Omar Brown. The latter was waived due to an injury. Additionally, the Dolphins also signed safety Tanner Wall and claimed cornerback Ahmari Harvey off the practice squad from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Gronowski struggled often in camp, and he was already facing an uphill battle to compete with Cam Miller for the third-string position. Now, Miami has Malik Willis, Quinn Ewers, and Miller as its three quarterbacks heading into the first week of preseason.

Wall most recently was a member of the Las Vegas Raiders and was waived on Aug. 5. He played all five years with BYU, but went undrafted.

As a member of the Cougars, Wall has a career 147 total tackles, one sack, seven interceptions, and one pass defended.

Harvey joins the Dolphins after spending the beginning of the 2026 offseason program with the Denver Broncos. After being waived by the team on June 18, he was signed by the Steelers on June 25 and then waived on Aug. 6.

Harvey played for Auburn in 2021 and then spent the 2022 to 2025 seasons with Georgia Tech. He has 121 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, four interceptions, and 12 passes defended.

The Dolphins are set to face the Washington Commanders on Aug. 14 as their first of three preseason games. With most teams heading into the game with 90 players, general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan got busy filling the roster gaps, with Gronowki and Brown being waived.

Miami, just like the other 31 NFL teams, must cut their rosters down to 53 players by 6 pm EST on Aug. 30. There will be roster cuts taking place following the first, second, and final preseason games.

Adding players at this juncture is to help with depth issues, though a lot of the late additions may have a lot harder time making the roster or practice squad of the teams they join. That is not always the case, but with training camp all but wrapped up, the final tryouts will take place during preseason.

The Dolphins do have some strong questions in their secondary, especially with cornerbacks Storm Duck and Darrell Baker Jr. being injured. That does not mean that Harvey or Wall would get a roster spot, but they could show something that may lead to remaining on the team in some manner, whether that is surprisingly making the 53-man roster or the practice squad.
