Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry took to social media to campaign to return to the team.

The Miami Dolphins have been hit hard in the wide receiver department, as the team released Tyreek Hill and have now traded Jaylen Waddle.

With the exodus of their two biggest playmakers, the team is relying on a room comprised of low-cost free agents like Jalen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell and more. The lack of a true WR1 has led to former Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry campaigning to return.

Landry was drafted by the Dolphins in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU.

After a 758-yard and five-touchdown rookie season, Landry exploded to the tune of 1,157 yards and four touchdowns in 2015. He would be named to the Pro Bowl from 2015 to 2019 due to being one of the best slot receivers in the NFL.

After some drama behind the scenes with the Dolphins due to being hit with the franchise tag, the team traded Landry to the Cleveland Browns, where he remained for three seasons.

Landry would wrap up his career with the New Orleans Saints in 2023. Now, the former Pro Bowler has campaigned to rejoin the Dolphins via social media.

Via a post on NFLonCBS, the potentail Dolphins offense was broken down following the Waddle trade. Landry took this as an opportunity to comment and throw his hat in the ring to be called on.

"I CAN BE READY IN 2 MONTHS," Landry's comment said.

Naturally, his comment drew the attention of the social media page, which tagged the comment.

Landry is 33 years old and has not played in the NFL since the 2023 season. That does not mean he would not be able to return, as many former players have done just that.

Tight end Darren Waller was out of the NFL for two years when he came back to play for Miami in 2025. Landry could theoretically do the same.

The issue is that the Dolphins and their new regime have a clear goal in mind. The team is attempting to get younger and build through the draft, and bringing Landry back would go against that plan.

That does not mean that veteran players are not needed, and the wide receiver room could do well to bring in a veteran like Landry. It will be interesting to see if the Dolphins entertain the idea of bringing back a fan-favorite player.

The likelihood of the Dolphins calling Landry is low, but crazier things have happened in the NFL.
