If the Miami Dolphins decide to sell before the NFL trade deadline, these three players could be moved.
The Miami Dolphins will have some decisions to make leading up to the 2026 NFL trade deadline on November 10.
Jon-Eric Sullivan will be navigating his first trade deadline as the general manager of the Dolphins. He will have to decide whether or not to sell off veteran talent.
Currently, the Dolphins do not look close to being a contender in the AFC. Trading away some veteran players who don't perfectly fit a long-term vision could make sense. Adding more draft capital is always a wise decision for a young team in a rebuild.
Keeping that in mind, let's dive in and take a look at three players who could become trade candidates if Miami decides to sell off some talent.
3. Willie Gay Jr., Linebacker
At 28 years old, Gay could be of interest to quite a few contenders around the NFL. The Dolphins could decide to keep him around, but a trade would make some sense.
Gay has played in five games this season, racking up 16 total tackles. Throughout his entire 94-game NFL career across seven years, the veteran linebacker has recorded 297 total tackles, nine sacks, three forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, four interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 24 defended passes.
2. Zach Sieler, Defensive Tackle
Standing in at 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, Sieler has become a hot topic ahead of the trade deadline. Quite a few teams would love to get their hands on the 31-year-old veteran.
Sieler has recorded 17 tackles and two sacks in six games this year. His career totals boast 374 tackles, 37.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 16 defended passes.
Many would prefer to see Miami hold onto Sieler, but if the right offer is made, he could be available.
1. Jordyn Brooks, Linebacker
Another linebacker must be added to this list. Brooks has been a name mentioned in quite a few rumors dating back to the offseason. He is the most likely player on the Dolphins' roster to be moved before the deadline.
Brooks is playing in his seventh NFL season. He played his first four with the Seattle Seahawks and the last three in Miami. During those years, Brooks has been a consistent and productive player.
He has totaled 891 tackles, 13 sacks, three forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and 26 defended passes. Brooks could fetch the Dolphins a nice haul if they do end up trading him away.
