The Miami Dolphins have a final game left to play against the New England Patriots. In what could be a huge divisional showdown, the team could be without multiple starters.
Thursday's injury report contains multiple starters that have yet to practice this week ahead of the finale.
At the top of the list is De'Von Achane. Achane has been dealing with a shoulder injury that has kept him out of practice for two days. Should he not be upgraded on Friday, he may miss out on the Patriots showdown.
Joining Achane is Jordyn Brooks. Brooks is still dealing with a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 17, which has kept him out of practice.
Brooks still remains the leading tackler with 174, and has a six-tackle lead on Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Devin White. If the Dolphins defender cannot suit up, he may lose the 2025 lead tackling title.
Minkah Fitzpatrick also has not practiced due to the calf injury that kept him out of Week 17. He is not likely to play in the finale.
Another concern is Darren Waller. He is dealing with a groin injury and has not practiced. The good news is Quinn Ewers has developed good chemistry with Greg Dulcich.
Aaron Brewer is dealing with a neck injury, which kept him out of Week 17. He was limited on Wednesday, but was downgraded to not practicing on Thursday.
On the brighter side of things, Chop Robinson returned to practice after dealing with a concussion, and Jaylen Waddle also returned. He is dealing with a rib injury.
Jason Sanders remains limited, and it could be that Riley Patterson could unseat the veteran. Patterson is set to break Sanders' accuracy record.
The Dolphins are not playing for a playoff appearance, and the final game of the season could be used to test out the younger talent on the roster. Ewers will remain the starter, and Theo Wease will get another chance to impress.
With multiple starters potentially being out, it will be interesting to see if the Dolphins will make several practice squad elevations for the game.
Following the season finale, the Dolphins will have a busy offseason while they find a new general manager, and potentially a new head coach and quarterback. Either way, Miami has a busy offseason ahead.
