A look at three obvious choice players for the Miami Dolphins to pick at No. 11 overall in the draft.
With the 2026 NFL Draft right around the corner, there has been plenty said about who the Miami Dolphins may take with their No. 11 overall pick. With many roster holes, this pick could truly be anyone.
The Dolphins need upgrades at the offensive line, wide receiver, secondary, and more. With the consensus being that the front office will target the offensive line, that could be a very safe bet.
That said, here are three obvious choices for the Dolphins at No. 11 overall.
3. Makai Lemon, WR, USC
The Dolphins need a big upgrade at the wide receiver position, especially after sending Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos. With a current receiver room that includes Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell at the starting positions, bringing in the talents of USC's Makai Lemon would make complete sense.
Lemon comes in at 5-foot-11 and 194 pounds, meaning he is more in line with what the Dolphins have had receiver-wise for the past few seasons with Waddle and Tyreek Hill. He may not be the contested ball type of weapon, but he can attack the middle of the field and rifle off some big yards after the catch opportunities.
Expect Miami to bring in more than one receiver, but Lemon would be a good starting point for a team needing to rebuild both the offense and defense.
2. Rueben Bain Jr., ED, Miami
There have been many players that have been mocked to the Dolphins at No. 11, but Rueben Bain Jr. could be that pick if he falls. One of the biggest controversies surrounding the stalwart pass rusher is his arms.
Bain has 30 and 7/8 inch arms, which are considered incredibly short for what pass rushers have to do. The point is to use their long arms to push off offensive linemen to get to the quarterback.
The arm situation could be a major reason that he falls, and the Dolphins would do well with taking him at No. 11 overall. His arm length will not matter when it comes down to his ability to cast aside blockers to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks.
With 20.5 sacks over the past three seasons, Bain would be the perfect pick to bolster the pass rush for the Dolphins, who lost Jaelen Phillips and Bradley Chubb.
1. Francis Mauigoa, OL, Miami
Another Miami product and the consensus top lineman in the draft is Miami's Francis Mauigoa. The stalwart offensive lineman would be a projected day one starter for any team, and the Dolphins will need that on the line.
With left tackle Patrick Paul and center Aaron Brewer being the only two locks on the line, the rest is up for a rebuild. Mauigoa has the skill set to step in and plug in as the left guard, right guard, or right tackle position.
Austin Jackson is back, but his inability to stay healthy may lead to his being replaced.
Mauigoa can pancake blockers and move the line in a way that would help open run lanes for De'Von Achane while giving Malik Willis the time to set up those long throws.
