Brooks is the last "pillar" to receive a deal, but now completes the round of extensions promised by general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan.
Continuing the training camp breakdown, the linebacker room, led by Brooks, should be a shining spot on the Dolphins' roster. Tyrel Dodson could continue his ascent while young upstarts Jacob Rodriguez and Kyle Louis make their marks.
The cornerbacks and secondary in general are still a major concern. While rookie Chris Johnson could be the real deal, relying on Storm Duck and Dante Trader Jr. continues to be a bit suspect.
