Roundtable Dolphins crew James Brizuela, Billie Melissa, and Ricardo Sandoval break down the Miami Dolphins preseason opener against the Washington Commanders.
The Miami Dolphins played their first preseason game against the Washington Commanders, and there were several players who stood out, including quarterback Malik Willis, wide receiver Caleb Douglas, and more.
What was a big issue was the depth pieces on the Dolphins. Following the starters leaving, the backups did not look anywhere near as strong.
Quarterback Quinn Ewers suffered a groin injury and will now be week-to-week. Additionally, the Dolphins lost offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer for the season.
Rookie receiver Chris Bell was also removed from the NFI list.
Head coach Jeff Hafley set an important standard by pulling running back Ollie Gordon II from the game following a post-snap penalty.
