A look at the Miami Dolphins' cornerback room ahead of training camp.

A big area of concern for the Miami Dolphins in 2026 is the cornerback room. With Jack Jones and Rasul Douglas both leaving the organization for new teams, there could be some major issues in terms of starters and depth.

The good news is that head coach Jeff Hafley was a secondary coach expert before climbing the ranks and becoming a head coach, so his level of evaluation could go a long way.

That said, here is a look at the current state of the cornerbacks' room ahead of training camp.

Dolphins Cornerbacks on the Roster

Storm Duck

Storm Duck will enter his third season with the Dolphins, but his time has been hampered due to injury. After suffering a season-ending knee injury, led to missing the majority of the 2025 season.

Duck is also dealing with the injury, which Hafley pointed to during OTAs and minicamp. If he cannot remain healthy, the team may need to look for outside help.

Chris Johnson

The Dolphins chose to upgrade the cornerback room in a major way by selecting San Diego State prospect Chris Johnson in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Johnson has the kind of ballhawk ability to be a Day 1 starter, but it has not yet been revealed if he will be a slot or outside corner.

Marco Wilson

Marco Wilson is a journeyman cornerback who joined the Dolphins on a one-year deal. He also suffered a hamstring injury in 2025 that heavily impacted his season. He has appeared in 10 games over the past two seasons.

Darrell Baker Jr.

Darrell Baker Jr. is another veteran who joined the Dolphins in 2026 and is also dealing with an ailment that was mentioned alongside Duck. Despite the injury, there is a big expectation that he can bounce back in Miami.

Baker has played in 17 games in both of the last seasons, but his coverage has been a bit shaky, as he has given up eight touchdowns, a 62.8 completion percentage, and 115.0 passer rating to opposing quarterbacks.

JuJu Brents

JuJu Brents joined the Dolphins from a waiver claim in 2025, and the young corner saw action in seven games, turning that into 14 total tackles, one pass defended, and one fumble recovery.

Brents also gave up a 60.0 completion percentage and 70.4 passer rating to quarterbacks. He could be a player to watch for a starting position through training camp.

Ethan Robinson

Ethan Robinson was an undrafted free agent for the Dolphins who worked his way into the active roster in December, mostly playing on special teams. He could also be a player to watch for in terms of making a big leap.

Jason Marshall Jr.

Jason Marshall Jr. has been the talk of OTAs and minicamp, and could be a player who can work himself into a strong rotational or even starting position come Week 1. He turned his 12 game appearances into one interception, four passes defended, and 23 total tackles.

Additional backups:

Ethan Bonner

Alex Austin

A.J. Green III

Biggest Cornerbacks Questions

Is this current state of the cornerbacks room remotely decent?

Hafley and the defense will have their hands full if the cornerbacks room cannot put things together. The 2025 season was eerily similar when multiple players went down, resulting in Jones and Douglas being called in.

Are there more free agents coming in?

Hafley may already be planning on bringing some more competition in, and that could come in the form of free agent veterans.
