On Thursday night to kick off the 2025 NFL season, the Eagles and Cowboys will play the latest installment of their heated rivalry.
For Philadelphia, it will be the team's first time on the field since its dominant Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Fans are hoping that there will be no championship hangover.
As for Dallas, the team is beginning a new era. Gone is superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons. Jerry Jones opted to ship him out of town in a blockbuster trade to the Green Bay Packers.
With that being said, fans are pumped to have Eagles football back on TV. Ahead of their season opener, the team has released an epic hype video to get fans even more hyped up about the rivalry clash.
Does that have you ready for football?
Philadelphia heads into the 2025 season as one of the perceived top contenders in the NFC. The Eagles are loaded with talent on both sides of the football, even after losing a key contributors to last year's Super Bowl squad.
Among the offseason departures for Philadelphia were Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, and Darius Slay. All three of those players will be missed, but the team went out and brought in some new talent as well.
Those new additions include Azeez Ojulari, Adoree Jackson, AJ Dillon, and Joshua Uche.
Nick Sirianni will need to have his team primed and ready to take on the Cowboys. Dallas has something to prove after missing the playoffs last season. Add in the fact that the franchise has been blasted by the fans and media for trading Parsons and it will have an even bigger chip on its shoulder.
Hopefully, the Eagles are prepared and ready for the challenge. There would be no better way to back up last year's Super Bowl win than by beginning the 2025 season with a win over the Cowboys.
All of that being said, kickoff is scheduled for Thursday night at 8:20 p.m ET. Fans will be able to tune in to watch the game on both NBC and Peacock.
Expect to see a raucous fan base in Philadelphia. It's exactly the kind of showdown and environment that any football fan would want to see in Week 1.
