The Philadelphia Eagles face the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Who will win?
The 2-0 Philadelphia Eagles face the 1-1 Chicago Bears in Week 3 on Monday Night Football.
Chicago may have to start third-string QB Case Keenum because starter Caleb Williams has a hamstring injury and second-string QB Tyson Bagent has a concussion.
Four of seven NFL experts at Bleacher Report predict the Eagles will beat the Bears to remain undefeated.
Ian Hanford explained why he's going with Philadelphia over Chicago:
"This was supposed to be Caleb Williams against the Philadelphia Eagles in a potential NFC Championship preview. Now, with Williams out and Tyson Bagent dealing with a concussion, it looks like Case Keenum against Jalen Hurts. Much less exciting. With Williams playing, I'd have given the Chicago Bears a shot here. But I can't see Keenum or Bagent scoring enough points to make up for a porous Bears defense. I think the Eagles offense has a big game on the road, and the Eagles win by at least a touchdown."
The Eagles are averaging 24.0 points per game and giving up 21.0 points per game.
Meanwhile, the Bears are averaging 31.0 points per game and giving up 23.0 points per game.
Chicago scored 59 points in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers but only put up three points in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Entering the season, there was concern that Eagles QB Jalen Hurts would struggle in a new offense. While it hasn't always looked pretty, Hurts has played well through two games. He has 467 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, two interceptions and 62 rushing yards.
The Eagles are 59-25 in the regular season with Hurts under center. They have been to two Super Bowls and won it all against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.
If Hurts plays well all season and leads the Eagles to another Super Bowl, he will get another huge extension.
Hurts and the Eagles lost to the Bears last season in November, 24-15. Hurts had 230 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, one interception and 31 rushing yards on four carries.
A talented runner and thrower, Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.
Hurts entered this season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP against the Kansas City Chiefs.
If Hurts continues to play well in 2026, the Eagles will make the playoffs again and contend for a Super Bowl.
However, if the QB struggles in Sean Mannion's system in tough games, Philadelphia will crumble and Hurts may be traded next offseason.
Philadelphia traded A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots in the offseason. Brown and Hurts used to be best friends.
With Brown gone, DeVonta Smith is Hurts' new No. 1 WR. Hurts was at Smith's wedding this offseason, so the two are close.
Smith has 13 receptions for 170 yards and one touchdowns entering the Bears game.
