Star WR A.J. Brown went on a massive rant about the struggling Eagles' offense on Wednesday.
The sound off took place next to Brown's locker in the locker room and it came after the Pro Bowler went on a stream to complain about the offense.
"It's not just solely about my situation. I want to win, too," Brown said. "I think if we're really focused on winning and doing our job, we can't just keep slapping a Band-Aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble. At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense?
"That's what I'm getting at. It's not about, 'I don't care about winning, all I care about is stats.' No. It's been week after week sometimes we're not doing our job on offense. You can't keep slapping a Band-Aid over that and expect to win late in the year and think you're going to go to that at the end of the year. It's not going to f---ing happen."
Brown has 31 catches for 408 yards and three touchdowns on the season. He's having the worst statistical campaign of his career and he hasn't been shy to vent about it.
"Last year is what it was, thank you for the ring, but it's a new season," Brown said. "They adapted, we have to adapt, and we have to continue to get better and find new ways. That's where the frustration comes in. ... I want to win, yes, and help contribute as well and do our thing on offense as well. I think that's fair."
The Eagles are 7-2. They are in first place in the NFC East, and if the season ended today, they would be the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
However, Philadelphia is 25th in passing yards and Brown is on pace to finish with 867 receiving yards, which would be a career low.
Brown said he was "just talking to my friend, having fun with my friend" when he was asked about the stream. "I'm not apologizing for that," Brown said. "Because if you have eyes, you can see that. It's not that I was throwing anybody under the bus. I'm literally trying to laugh through this s---.
"This s--- is tough. But I'm trying to make fun of the situation to try to get through it."
The Eagles face the Lions this week. If Brown doesn't have a huge game, he will likely complain about it next week.
