Chicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent has received a major injury update ahead of a Monday night matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be facing a backup quarterback on the other side of the ball when they take on the Chicago Bears on Monday, as Caleb Williams is out with a hamstring strain.

The question is which quarterback will be starting in his place, as Tyson Bagent has been dealing with a concussion throughout the week. Bagent has cleared the necessary steps to practice on Saturday and is questionable for the Week 3 matchup.

If Bagent is cleared, he will be the starter with veteran Case Keenum serving as the backup.

Bagent relieved the injured Williams in Week 2, completing five of nine passes for 54 yards. In his career, he has appeared in 13 games, starting in four, completing 65.8 percent of his passes for 971 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions. The 26-year-old has added 109 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

If he is unable to play, the Eagles will face off against Keenum. Keenum hasn't appeared in a game since the 2023 season, but he has a wealth of experience over his 15 seasons in the NFL.

Across his career, Keenum has completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 15,175 yards, 79 touchdowns, and 51 interceptions.

While Philadelphia won't have to face off against Williams, Chicago has talented weapons on offense, which could help Bagent or Keenum succeed. In the run game, the Bears will lean on D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai, who have both played well in the first two games.

Swift has rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries, and Monangai has added 147 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. In the passing game, Chicago will lean on Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland.

The three expected receiving leaders are off to a slow start in 2026 as Odunze has five receptions for 95 yards, Burden has eight receptions for 95 yards, and Loveland has one catch for three yards.

Although neither of the three pass catchers is off to a strong start, the Eagles' defense needs to be prepared for them to have a breakout game.

Philadelphia has started the season 2-0, but they have been ugly wins. The Eagles need to establish their run game on offense and limit their turnovers a week after Jalen Hurts threw two interceptions.

Philadelphia should beat the Bears and improve to 3-0, but they need to show up with effort and intensity, or a backup quarterback like Bagent or Keenum could pull off an upset.
