The Bills need help in the secondary this year.
The Philadelphia Eagles are undoubtedly one of the more intriguing teams in the NFL when it comes to what could happen at this year's trade deadline.
The Eagles have to decide whether to move on from certain guys, trade others, and maybe even buy at some point. If the Eagles want to buy, I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to make moves to improve their roster for years to come.
Ultimately, Howie Roseman will do everything he can to improve his team, even if that means trading for a guy who might not help right away.
As for the Eagles considering some of their top players right now, don't be shocked if Roseman decides to cut ties with a few of them.
Philadelphia is in such a good position year in and year out because Roseman has done all the right things from top to bottom.
This year will be a bit different because of the injuries the Eagles have dealt with on both sides of the ball, which means trading guys like Tariq Woolen could be valuable.
Woolen is in an interesting part of his career after spending the offseason as a free agent.
When he was younger, despite still being 27, some argued he was among the best defensive backs in football. Unfortunately, he started to struggle a bit with the Seattle Seahawks, and opinions about him have changed. However, according to The Athletic, there's still a scenario in which he could be traded, and the Buffalo Bills are a team that makes sense.
“Woolen won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks last season. He then hit free agency and, rather surprisingly, a market did not materialize for him. Woolen ended up signing a one-year deal with the Eagles. Although he has given up two touchdowns, Woolen has played well in coverage down-to-down for Philadelphia. He was in tight coverage on the Parker Washington one-handed touchdown in the Eagles’ loss to the Jaguars in Week 5. The combination of size and speed will always make Woolen an intriguing piece,” The Athletic said.
The Bills find themselves in a very good position to win a Super Bowl this season, especially as Josh Allen continues to impress on the offensive side of things.
However, there's reason to believe that they have questions to answer in their secondary.
As the Bills look to improve at this year's deadline, it's safe to say Buffalo will make some changes to improve its roster.
A guy like Woolen isn't exactly a guarantee to come in and be a star like he would have been a couple of years ago, but there's an argument to be made that he's among the best corners available at this year's deadline.
