Bold Predictions for Eagles' Monday Night Showdown Against Chargers cover image

The Philadelphia Eagles are set to take on the Los Angeles Chargers and here are some bold predictions for the showdown.

The Philadelphia Eagles have struggled over the last two weeks. They have lost two straight games, falling to both the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears.

In Week 15 on Monday Night Football, the Eagles are set for another big game. They will hit the road to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in what is an extremely important game.

Philadelphia has to find a way to end its recent losing skid. With all of the outside noise surrounding the team and what appears to be unrest within the locker room, the Eagles can't afford to drop their third straight game. However, beating the Chargers will be no easy task.

One big storyline to watch leading up to kickoff will be the status for Los Angeles star quarterback Justin Herbert. He is currently questionable to play due to a fractured left hand.

With that being said, let's take a look at three bold predictions for Philadelphia heading into the game.

Eagles' Defense Forces Three Turnovers

Even if Herbert is able to give it a go, the Eagles are going to come through with a dominant defensive performance. When all is said and done, Philadelphia will force at least three turnovers.

Whoever is under center for the Chargers will have to deal with a talented Eagles' pass rush. The Philadelphia secondary will take advantage of the pressure and will record two interceptions. A third turnover will come on a fumble.

Saquon Barkley Has His Biggest Game of the Season

To this point in the season, Barkley has not looked like the superstar running back from last season. His best game came against the New York Giants on October 26 when he ran for 150 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

Against Los Angeles, he will surpass those numbers.

Barkley will run for at least 160 yards to go along with two touchdowns. In a game where his team needs him the most, the 28-year-old running back will step up.

Philadelphia Pulls Out a Convincing Win

Finally, the most important prediction is that the Eagles will win the game in convincing fashion. That doesn't mean that Philadelphia will dominate the Chargers, but they'll win by at least 10 points.

Nick Sirianni and company have their backs against the wall. A third straight loss would be devastating heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

With all of the pressure on their shoulders, the Eagles' stars will shine. Philadelphia will improve to 9-4 with the win and will be in a much better position with just four games remaining in the regular season.
